Welcome to our FiltaStraw web site and welcome to this page in particular which is dedicated to those of you who are residing in the United States of America.

This project has been founded and is operated from the United Kingdom. The FiltaStraw/LifeStraw product is purchased, distributed and donated through the UK.

We accept donations from anyone who feels strongly enough to give to this Humanitarian project. We accept our own UK Pounds Sterling currency and now can also accept United States Dollars. We have a very open policy on what we do and invite any questions you may have in regards to where we buy the FiltaStraws from, who we provide them to, where we donate straws, how we ship them, what other humanitarian organisations we are providing free FiltaStraws to, etc, etc. Please do not be afraid to ask, as I said this is an open and transparent project.

It is also important to know that we are not a trading arm of the manufacturers and are completely and commercially independent from them. This project is run solely by Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Brynmawr (District 1150) in the United Kingdom. We are a non–profit organisation that prides itself in providing humanitarian aid to those who need it. This is not just restricted to International tangible items but also to local social and community support and services.

At this stage there are some issues getting large volumes of the FiltaStraws into the USA as a result of your FDA requirements to have all kinds of merchandise checked and inspected. We respect you government’s natural caution to such new technologies. We do however supply small quantity orders for sample/promotional use to the USA.

Full licensing of this product is underway and we hope this year that the approvals required will be granted and that we will be able to supply the USA with all you need.

If you want to do something amazing and help those less fortunate around the world then this is possible right now. We have hubs all around the world that can distribute the FiltaStraws and a massive network of Rotarians also that are willing to assist in providing these lifesaving FiltaStraws to the recipients.

We accept various payment methods, however at present a money order or bank transfer are the best options. We are exploring the possibility of using PayPal and credit card payment methods. The latter involve us in some overheads which we are trying desperately not to get involved with as we want ALL of your kind donation to go only into the purchase of FiltaStraws for the needy.
