The ‘Rotary Club of Brynmawr Water Projects’ is now a Registered Charity

Charity Number: 1118064

Yes, after 12 months of hard work and countless too-ing and fro-ing of paper we have now been awarded Charity Status. This is a tremendous boost for our club and for our water project FiltaStraw.

Our thanks must go to our very own Rotarian Donna Wallbank (also a member of the FiltaStraw committee) for the countless hours of work and research involved in getting our Charity Status. This is no walk in the park and no stone was left uncovered.

This simple number is an acknowledgement of our projects hard work and achievement, it is also an acknowledgement of the Charities Commissions belief that we are here to stay and that we have proven that we are moving in the right direction and helping to make the lives of those less fortunate more tolerable through our efforts.

When I say our efforts I mean the contributions that come from everyone that in some way helps, donates or procures FiltaStraws. Every positive action results in our ‘now Charity’ being able to make a difference. It’s just great news.
